Two- day trip to Thessaloniki, Double Room
They were thinking about doing this trip for a long time, having read and heard so many things about Thessaloniki. Every time though, something occurred and they cancelled the trip. But finally, the right moment came. As soon as they landed they already knew about their next moves in the city. Bus No X1 left them only a 3 minute walking distance from the property they booked. They didn’t search long for their stay; they asked a couple of friends of alternative/ modern hotels in Thessaloniki “do you know any nice hotel?” From the choices given, they selected the one more comfortable to them.
After an hour, they were standing in front of a pink building and its’ black door. This must be it, they thought. There is a sign as well- Bed and Breakfast it says. Kiki opened the door with a huge smile on her face saying out loud “Welcome welcome, how was your trip?”
Just fine, they replied promptly.
“Come inside, don’t be shy! You may leave your suitcases, from here is the reception, please do feel like home! Is it your first time in our city?”
Yes, it is our first time, they replied together. Unfortunately we had to cancel so many times this particular trip, like something was always wrong with it! “give me one moment to bring your welcome drinks, something sweet and very traditional..What can I say, maybe you were looking for the right timing to visit us hahah! But do not worry, we will show you everything you need to know about the city, secret spots, local food and a lot more recommendations so that you can have the perfect stay! As soon as you settle your things upstairs and you are ready, come here to the reception so that we can show you your own, unique map!”
With the welcome drink on hand, they started observing the luminous and colorful lobby café and the numerous little things that were all around. Everything seemed so much familiar and cozy. Students were working on their laptops, reading books and having coffee. “Excuse me; is this a coffee place rather than a Bed and Breakfast?” Yes of course!, Kiki replied, it’s a co- working space and many events also take place in our breakfast area.
Their attention was no longer on Kiki and gradually, they started getting lost among trips, suitcases, globes, mini vans. “Everything ok?”, Kiki asked. “Yes, everything ok, we just go lost day dreaming”.. “Your journey starts now, from Caravan”, Kiki responded.
They took the elevator and entered their room. It was like they had stayed in that room once. Like it was their room. With nothing too fancy but with a simplicity and details that catch ones’ attention.
